Electrostatic Disinfection: How It Works
Electrostatic sprayers apply an electrical charge to disinfectant droplets as they leave the nozzle, causing them to be attracted to and wrap around surfaces — including the undersides and backs of objects a standard spray would miss.
Where electrostatic application fits
Electrostatic spraying is best suited to periodic, targeted applications — a scheduled deep treatment, or a rapid response after a known exposure event. It delivers thorough single-pass coverage but doesn’t provide ongoing protection between applications.
How this differs from continuous ambient sanitisation
The Eco Pure Room device range takes a different, complementary approach: sub-10-micron particles distributed continuously through Brownian motion, treating air and surfaces around the clock rather than in a single scheduled pass. Many sites use both — an electrostatic deep clean to reset a space, followed by continuous ambient devices to maintain the standard afterwards. See our deep clean and disinfect page for how the two combine.
Whichever method you use, the return on a properly maintained disinfection programme shows up in reduced absence — see our ROI of workplace disinfection breakdown.
